The Sant Jordi de ses Salines Folk Group was created in 1982, stemming from an initiative by the APA of CP. Sant Jordi, and its main objectives have always been the research, recovery, teaching, dissemination, and promotion of Ibiza's customs and folklore.
Currently, this Group consists of around sixty dancers, singers, and musicians ranging in age from four years to advanced ages. Throughout its trajectory, this group has participated in various folkloric events and shows, both nationally (Boecillo, La Flecha, Valdepeñas, Cuéllar, Conca, Menorca, Valencia, Murcia, Los Realejos, Cantabria, Sondika, Madrid, Galicia, Almería, Mallorca, Logroño, La Gomera, Formentera, Estella, Agramunt, etc.) and internationally (Germany, Cyprus, Portugal, France, Switzerland, Austria, Italy).

In recent years, it has sponsored different cataloged assets of cultural interest, such as Pou Roig, where every August, specifically the first Sunday after Santa Maria, from the late 1980s until 2017, a popular dance is held, and s'Era de Cas Costes, where in 2011 a peasant festival was commemorated for the first time.
Currently, since 2018, it celebrates, every August, the first Saturday after Sta. Maria, a popular festival at the Aljub de Can Burgos, with country dancing, bagpipes, songs, and traditional games.
The Group actively participates in the Patron Saint Festivals of Sant Jordi de ses Salines and Sant Francesc de s'Estany and other festivals in different neighborhoods of the municipality, as well as in all public and institutional events when required.
Annually, coinciding with the Patron Saint Festivals of Sant Jordi, it organizes the Folkloric exhibition with the participation of other invited groups.
With the intention of bringing its members closer to the rest of the citizens, the Group organizes courses and workshops, popular festivals, and other activities not directly linked to Ibiza's culture and traditions, such as carnival parades, San Juan bonfires, barbecues, popular walks, etc. All activities with significant participation and attendance.
The Folkloric Group Sant Jordi de Ses Salines is a member of the Federació de colles de ball i cultura popular d'Eivissa.
